‘Contemporary Currency’

Head to the L&P Hutheesing Visible Art Centre and delve into the earth of interesting arts. Exhibition ‘Contemporary Currency’ opened at the gallery on Friday, wherever 14 established artists from across the nation have set up their will work. The show, which has been curated by Jamshed Chinoy (R), presents what can be identified as a “new wave of contemporaries”. Taking part artists: Ashish Kushwah, Babu Xavier, Birendra Pani, Dileep Sharma, Hemraj, Laxman Alaey, Madhuri Bhaduri, Mrinal Dey, Nayana Kanodia, Phaneendra Nath Chaturvedi, Pratul Dash, Rajendra Kapse, Sanjeev Sonpimpare, and Yashwant Deshmukh.

A new academy, ‘Blackk & One’ is opening in Thaltej on Saturday morning and it guarantees to be the “city’s largest badminton academy”. And gracing the opening ceremony will be MoS Household Severe Sanghavi, who will be joined by badminton ace, Jwala Gutta. That’s not all, there’s also an exhibition match by national degree badminton gamers.

‘My Silent Poetry: Glass’
Having worked with glass for 21 years, artist Vijay Roy considers himself synonymous with the medium now. The artist has put alongside one another an appealing exhibition aptly titled ‘My Silent Poetry: Glass’, which opened on Thursday night at the iconic Amdavad ni Gufa. Impressed by his father’s talks, Roy has designed “little trees” from glass in the clearly show which he has devoted to his “bapu”. He provides, “With my is effective, there’s constantly been an hard work to make them significant to every single viewer and every single form of viewers.”

Saptak aficionados, help save the day
It was disappointing for classical songs fans when the once-a-year Saptak Competition was lower short halfway, when the Omicron variant loomed as a massive menace over the city. Now, Saptak custodians have made the decision to revive the festival, albeit practically, commencing up coming 7 days. This year’s competition is devoted to the memory of Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj and Padma Bhushan Pt Rajan Mishra. There will be a full of 18 sessions. That is not all, there are classes as exclusive tributes to Bharat Ratna Pt Bhimsen Joshi and one will be dedicated to Padma Vibhushan Ustad Ali Akbar Khan to celebrate their centenary year.
