BAN 27/2 after 3 overs: The introduction of Anrich Nortje saw Soumya Sarkar walking back and he was looking in good touch. But Nortje induced an edge as de Kock makes no mistake behind the stumps. SA 176/1 after 15 overs: Bangladesh finally manage to break the 168-run partnership off 85 balls – the highest second wicket stand across nations as Quinton de Kock falls for a brilliant 38-ball 63 with Rossouw approaching his century. Atif Hossain broke the stand but the last five overs 85 runs have come. That explains the hammering from de Kock and Rossouw.

SA 129/1 after 12 overs:A five-run penalty has been added to the South African total and we are given to understand that the Bangladesh wicket-keeper changed his position when Shakib Al Hasan was in his delivery stride. Shaun Pollock explains that the keeper can’t change his position when the bowler is running in and the striker has to know where exactly the wicket-keeper has positioned himself. In this case, Litton Das took a step back and one of the on-field umpires noticed and awarded the penalty. Nothing going in Bangladesh’s favour and South Africa on a rampage.  

SA 91/1 after 10 overs: Rilee Rossouw brings up his half-century in just 30 balls and what a fine knock this has been. The partnership between Rossouw and de Kock is 89 off just 56 deliveries and this is a superb one from South Africa’s point of view in a must-win game.  

SA 87/1 after 9 overs: Bangladesh has lost both its reviews and the partnership is swelling, with both batsmen scoring boundaries at will. This is a good batting surface and having laid the foundation, South Africa will look to dominate the second half and post in excess of 170. The current run rate is 9.74 and the last five over 45 runs were scored without losing any wicket. Advantage, South Africa.

SA 63/1 after 6 overs: The partnership between de Kock and Rossouw is worth 61 off just 32 deliveries and South Africa did really well to register their highest PowerPlay of the year with Rossouw exhibiting an attacking game. He has already hammered three sixes and is striking at almost 200.00 (SR). De Kock, meanwhile is finding the gaps and rotating the strike nicely.

SA 42/1 after 4 overs: Quinton de Kock has taken the attack to the opposition as the left-hander hammered Taskin Ahmed for 21 runs as South Africa rebuild after the fall of Temba Bavuma. Three boundaries and a maximum off a no-ball has negated the early breakthrough that Taskin made and de Kock is looking in some mood. The boundaries are flowing for South Africa. 

SA 10/1 after 2 overs: Taskin Ahmed strikes and Temba Bavuma’s poor form continues. The South African captain promoted himself to open the innings but that move didn’t bring any luck as Taskin induces a thin outside edge, a nothing shot and Litton Das completes the formalities behind the stumps. Rilee Rossouw joins de Kock as Mehindy Hasan Miraz partners Taskin. Bangladesh on the charge.
